Columbia Basin Ice 2025 Project

We recently completed a palletizing system expansion project at Columbia Basin Ice in Kennewick, Washington. This planned system expansion involved integrating a second fully automatic palletizer into an existing one.

California Ice 2023 Project

In 2023, we commissioned another project at California Ice in Lake Elsinore, California. This project involved installing another fully automatic packaging and palletizing system. This unique solution automatically produces pallets of both individually stacked ice packages or baled bags on the same production line.

Ice Plant Inc. Install 2023

We recently returned from another equipment installation and commissioning at the Ice Plant Inc. facility in Mobile, Alabama. We originally developed this packaged ice plant in 2019.  Since the original commissioning, we have added two additional Vogt P34AXL ice makers, updated the refrigeration system to accommodate a Vilter 4516XL compressor, and added a glycol-recirculating cooling loop to all compressors.

The project we just returned from involved adding a second Hamer 525WT packaging line, integrated with a second SA2 Automatic ICE™ Palletizing System.

We are planning to return to this facility for yet another system update later this month. This update involves replacing the original ice-making integration control system, not sourced from AIS, with a new Automatic ICE™ control system.

Cube Ice Expansion 2022

In 2022, AIS completed an expansion project at this facility, adding another fully automatic A1 Palletizing Machine to the existing pallet-handling system. This project required adding a new Coalza VFFS Packaging Machine to feed packaged ice products to the new A1. We relocated the existing Hamer 540HS Packaging Machine and integrated the semi-automatic SA2 Palletizing Machine. Today, this fully automated packaged ice plant can produce up to 300 tons of packaged ice products with only two operators

Early in 2015, another ice maker was added… a few months later, a rebuilt automatic palletizing machine was added.

Finally, in December of that year, AIS rebuilt the packaging room and added the first-ever AIS model SA2 Automatic ICE™ Palletizing System.
